Time Zone Converter
See one moment expressed in every major timezone at a glance.
How to use the Time Zone Converter
Scheduling across timezones is error-prone: a meeting time in one city means three different things in three others. Enter a moment and the timezone it belongs to, and this tool shows that exact instant in every major timezone at once, using the same IANA timezone database your operating system uses.
- 01Pick the date and time in the source timezone.
- 02Choose the source timezone the entered time belongs to (defaults to your browser timezone).
- 03Read the same instant in every other timezone below. The source row is highlighted.
tips
- —The offset column shows UTC offset at that moment, so it reflects daylight saving time automatically.
- —If a meeting tool gives you a UTC time, set the source timezone to
UTCand type the UTC wall time. - —Cities that share a standard offset may differ during DST \u2014 always use the IANA city name, not a raw offset.
frequently asked
How does the conversion work?+
You enter a wall-clock time and the timezone it belongs to. The tool computes the underlying UTC instant, then formats that same instant in every listed timezone using the browser’s Intl engine.
Does it account for daylight saving time?+
Yes. The Intl engine uses the IANA timezone database, which knows the DST rules for every region. The offset shown next to each timezone reflects DST at that moment.
Why does the offset next to a timezone change with the date?+
Timezones that observe daylight saving time switch between standard and summer offsets. The same city can be UTC−5 in winter and UTC−4 in summer, so the offset is recomputed for whatever instant you entered.
Can I add my own timezone?+
The dropdown lists the most common IANA timezones. If yours is missing, it is likely covered by a city in the same offset — pick the nearest one with the same standard offset.
